This large, modular steel and glass structure, 125 metres long and 12 metres wide, presented us with a significant challenge as each of the sections was very delicate to handle and each piece was over 12m long.
Due to their large dimensions and delicacy, the handling of the modules required specialised techniques and appropriate equipment to avoid damage during the painting and assembly process. Each module was meticulously treated, ensuring uniform coverage of the anti-corrosion coating.
In this case, a high quality liquid coating was used, specifically designed to provide category C5 anti-corrosion protection. Category C5 is essential in environments with extremely corrosive conditions, such as outdoor areas subject to extreme climates. This coating provides an effective barrier against moisture, climatic changes, atmospheric pollutants and other corrosive agents, ensuring the longevity and durability of the metal structure.
