The travelling exhibition “Faraó. Rei d’Egipte” (Pharoah. King of Egypt)

In collaboration with CaixaForum, we worked on this unique project: the painting of all the visible and non-visible metal parts of the travelling exhibition “Faraó. Rei d’Egipte”.

A steel structure combined with wood was mainly painted for aesthetic and protective purposes in order to embellish and protect it from any damage caused by the assembly and dismantling required for a travelling exhibition.

The project focused on highlighting the simplicity and beauty of the combination of these materials, achieving a perfect balance between the robustness of steel and the warmth of wood.

Our painting process involved several meticulous stages. First, we applied an anti-corrosion base coat to ensure the longevity of the metal parts. We then added intermediate and final coats of paint, specifically selected to complement and highlight the wooden elements. This approach not only ensured a consistent and attractive appearance, but also provided a protective barrier against physical damage during the frequent set-up and dismantling of the exhibition.
