In 2015, we participated in the refurbishment of the Bombay Sapphire Distillery in London, England, a project that transformed this unique building into an architectural masterpiece. Known for its glass and steel structure, the distillery reflects the distinctive character and charisma of Bombay Sapphire gin.
The project stands out for its complex design and more than 10,000 square metres of floor space, and is an example of how industrial painting can be used to create a functional, sustainable and aesthetically pleasing space.
One of the most important aspects of the project was the application of a C5 grade anti-corrosion coating to the glass and steel structure. This high quality protection is essential to ensuring the durability and resistance of the materials against adverse weather conditions and daily wear and tear.
The anti-corrosion protection process not only improves the longevity of the structure, but also helps maintain its impressive aesthetics. The industrial paint applied not only acts as a protective barrier, but also enhances the appearance of the distillery, maintaining its vivid colours and flawless finish over time. This attention to detail in the protection of materials ensures that the distillery retains its beauty and functionality, making it an architectural landmark.
Visitors can enjoy a unique experience in an environment that has been recognised with prestigious awards such as BREEAM “Excellent”, the RIBA National Award for best industrial design and the World Architecture Festival prize for best sustainable production.
